Community Guidelines
Last updated 17 October 2026
ghulmil works because people turn up, play fair and treat each other well. These guidelines apply to everything on ghulmil: your profile, the activities you host, feed posts and comments, and how you behave when you meet in person. Breaking them can get content removed or your account suspended.
Be real
- Use your real name and a current photo of yourself. Don't pretend to be someone else.
- One person, one account. Don't create accounts for others or to get around a ban.
- You must be 18 or older to use ghulmil.
Show up, or say so
- If you've been approved for a spot, turn up on time. Your show-up rate is shown on your profile.
- If your plans change, leave the activity as early as you can, so someone on the waitlist can take your spot.
- Check in honestly. Don't check in to activities you didn't attend.
Host responsibly
- Describe your activity accurately: what it is, where, when, the skill level and any cost.
- Only charge what you say up front, to cover genuine costs such as a court booking or equipment.
- Choose safe, accessible places. For first meetings with new people, public places are best.
- If you need to cancel, do it as early as possible. Attendees are notified automatically.
- Approve and decline requests fairly. Don't turn people away because of who they are.
Respect everyone
ghulmil is for everyone. We don't allow:
- Harassment or bullying, including repeated unwanted contact, threats or intimidation.
- Hate: attacking or excluding people because of their religion, caste, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Unwanted sexual behaviour, online or in person. ghulmil is not a dating app.
- Sharing someone's private information, such as their phone number, address or photos, without their permission.
Keep content appropriate
Posts, photos, comments and profiles must not include:
- Nudity, sexual content or graphic violence.
- Spam, scams, chain messages, or promotion of unrelated products or services.
- False information meant to mislead or harm others.
- Content you don't have the right to share.
Nothing illegal or dangerous
- Don't host or promote activities that break the law, including gambling, drugs or unlicensed sale of alcohol.
- Don't organise activities that put people at serious risk without making the risk clear and taking proper precautions.
- Never use ghulmil to exploit, recruit or harm anyone.
Stay safe when you meet
- Meet in public places, especially the first time.
- Tell a friend or family member where you're going and when you expect to be back.
- Look for the blue verification tick, and check profiles and show-up rates before you go.
- Trust your instincts. You can leave any activity at any time.
- If you're in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (112 in India) first, then report it to us.
Reporting and blocking
If something breaks these guidelines, report it in the app: tap ⋯ on a profile, activity or post, or press and hold a comment, then choose Report. Reports are confidential. The person you report isn't told who reported them.
You can also block anyone. You won't see each other's activities, posts or comments, and neither of you can join the other's activities.
What happens when someone breaks the rules
We review every report. Depending on what happened, we may:
- Remove the content or activity.
- Send a warning.
- Temporarily suspend the account.
- Permanently remove the account, for serious or repeated violations.
Where someone's safety is at risk, we may also contact the authorities. If you think we got a decision wrong, email support@ghulmil.app and we'll take another look.
